ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 411-340 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.84 g, 1 h). Head of Dionysos to left, wearing wreath of ivy and fruit. Rev. ΘAΣ-I-ΩN Herakles, wearing lion skin, kneeling right and shooting his bow; before, drinking horn. HGC 6, 343. Weber 2513. A lovely coin with a very attractive head of Dionysos. Light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
